Friend\'s Live FW 2/4 hand...
Hero is on the button holding A8s in Spades.
6 Limpers to the Button and Buddy calls First Question: Is a raise here better, they are coming along anyway?? If no what hands are worthy of a raise following 6 limpers? Blinds are both in 9 to the flop. Flop come A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (9 SBs) Checked all the way to our HERO who bets. 6/8 callers. Turn comes T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. (15 SBs) Checked again to our Hero who checks. I think I bet this. Am I just asking to be c/r'd? River a J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG bets, MP3 calls, Hero Calls. UTG shows 64x for two pair with 6's and T's, MP3 shows A4x. Hero and MP3 Split the pot. With A's and T's, J kicker. Comments? |

Re: Friend\'s Live FW 2/4 hand...
I think u could raise p/f but its not like u have huge equity here so limping is fine. Bet the turn and river

I think u could raise p/f but its not like u have huge equity here so limping is fine. [/ QUOTE ] A8s has more than its fair share after 6 limpers in a live 2/4 game. It's a pretty clear raise based on equity alone, but there are other really good reasons, too. Hero's position and likelihood that his opponents will give him a free turn being are a biggie. Being perceived as raising light (when you're really not) is a good thing, too. They'll see A8s and remember that you raised, not that it was after 6 limpers. |
