Default Reoccuring Poker Nightmare

When I say reoccuring, I don't mean that I have the same dream every night. What I do have, is everytime I dream about poker, it is the same dream.
Basically, what happens is, I'm in a game, the whole table views me as a great player, and I have lots of respect. I am dealt a hand that is far better than anyone's at the table. Lots of money is going into the pot. I get raised, reraised, and reraised again, as each card is put in the middle. Unfortunately, the dealer keeps putting cards in the middle. There will be 9-10 cards, none of which help my hand, but as each card hits, it gives the people raising me a chance to catch. There is rarely an ending to this dream, because I eventually just wake myself up. So I don't actually lose the hand that I know of, but I can't win it either. The interesting thing is I feel this way often times when I play. Like the dealer is just going to put a miracle turn or river card, every hand I'm way ahead on.
I have a similar reoccurring basketball dream. I'm on the court, and everyone thinks of me as the best player there. I have the ball, and I can't seem to dribble even decently. The 5 on 5 game, turns into a court full of people. So I'm looking down court at the basket, and I see 50 people there, looking to stop me. I can't seem to dribble the ball, I have no one to pass to, and there are just too many people for me to score. The game is up to me though, if I fail, we lose. I don't get to the end of this dream either, so I don't actually lose or fail, cause I wake up before I do.
I'd think both dreams are about the fear of failure, and letting myself be overwhelmed by the need to succeed.

I'm sure it's normal.

I've had a reoccuring dream which is similar.

I'm driving down a street and approach an intersection. I turn and go down another street. I approach another intersection and need to turn there too. But, there's a problem. For some reason the car is malfunctioning and I have to turn the steering wheel half a second before the car will actually turn.

I continue approaching streets where I need to make turns. But, each time I have to turn the steering wheel earlier and earlier. Eventually, I have to turn the steering wheel ten seconds before I get to the intersectiion. All the while, I've got to anticipate the traffic which is getting heavier and heavier.

I've never had an accident. I would wake up instead.

Seems like your poker dream is simply telling you to further develop your increasingly growing ability to never let your plays and emotions be affected by short-term suckouts and bad beats. And to remind you that each time you get sucked out from here on out that you will have actually gained something EV-wise and would therefore inevitably become a success in the long-run.

Before sleeping each night ask the part of you that has been giving you this dream to give you this dream each time you regress from the goal of getting better and better at not letting your plays and emotions be affected by short-term bad beats and suckouts. Better yet, if at any time in the future you regress from this goal in a big way, tell this part to make this dream even more nightmarish. This can serve as a reminder to you to get back on track towards the goal of getting excellent at being emotionally detached from any bad beats and suckouts.

If you do this, you will notice that the better you get at handling bad beats and suckouts with detachment that you will have this dream less and less.

I've had a similar dream.

I've dreamt that I was hacking people to death with a crowbar. But, they just keep coming, so I keep using increasingly larger weapons, but they just keep coming.

Oh, wait a minute. That's a different game.

I had a dream I was in a casino playing a game called 32-stud. It was just like holdem, except for the fact that there were 32 community cards. Pretty weird.
