Re: Villain is TAG
Um, what was your plan on the flop? I think I might just play this straightfoward and bet/raise nonstop unless he really plays back hard. Given the way you played it I think a river raise is mandatory.

Re: Villain is TAG
I was going to c/r flop and take the lead. But a check there is VER suspicious. And if he clearly is afraid of the ace, why give him an opportunity to fold?

[/ QUOTE ] I don't really get what you are saying here. I don't think he is "clearly afraid" of the ace, as most people think it is less likely that someone has the ace if there are two out there. As for giving people an opportunity to fold? People love to call down with anything, so I wouldn't worry so much about this. |

Re: Villain is TAG
what im saying is he either loves the ace or he hates it. When he cehcks the flop(which is very suspicious and a good portion of the time he has a big ace) im in a way behind situation. Now if he checked the flop FEARING the ace, that probably means theres a good chance he is folding to a c/r somewhere as he even checked the flop.

Re: Villain is TAG
Checking the flop is definetly some sort of tricky play, but it doesn't mean you are behind. He will often pay off a pocket pair or a smaller ace if you check raise the river.

Re: Villain is TAG
Actually, I like how you played it. Most important though, is that you make a note on villain on how he played this hand...
And try not to post so many posts at the same time... |
