Default San Francisco Area Card Rooms

I'm an East Coaster staying in downtown San Francisco for a week. Can someone recommend a reasonably close card room?

I'm heading to Sunnyvale in May, so I checked on Casinos in the area. The Bay101 and Garden City seem in the neighborhood. I don't know much about them, having never actually been inside (or even near) either one. Both are San Jose, I think. Both have websites with more info.

Lucky Chances is the closest, safest, best.

do you have a car? If so, then there are a number of places within driving distance, but LC's should be fine for you.

If you don't have a car, then I think that you can take BART to the colma station and they have regular buses to the cardroom.

Closest and safest, anyway.

LC spreads a lot of different games (more than Bay 101 and GC and much closer). Bigger rake though with the jackpot drop.

I'm coming to town in a month, so this thread saves me re-asking the same questions. I checked out the directions to LC on the net so I think I can find it, but how long of a drive will that be from downtown (union sq)? Also, what limits do they spread?

I live near SBC Park and with good flowing traffic either Lucky Chances or Artichoke Joes are both 15-20 minutes drive away. Add another ~5 minutes since you're coming from around Union Square.

Of course if you do it during rush hour and hit a lot of traffic, it could take a lot longer.
