Commerce $6/12??
I'm thinking about giving the Commerce $6/12 a shot tonight. I was curious what the game is like? There are only a few tables right? I've been playing real solid at the $4/8 for the past few months (mostly a $2/4 6m online player). I'm going to vegas next weekend where I plan on trying some higher games and figured I'd get warmed up before I go.
Also, are the low/mid limits (like 5/10 or 6/12, maybe 8/16) better anywhere else in LA? Thanks for the tips. B |

[/ QUOTE ] I tend to play higher but the Commerce seems to have far fewer 6/12 tables since the 100, 200 and 400 buy-in NL games have taken over most of the real estate in that section. This is also true of Hollywood Park, but to a lessor extent. My guess is the action might be reduced, as the games may be populated by more of the hard core players. You might want to consider the Bike or Hustler's 6/12 games. But if you have a bigger bankroll or want to take a shot, the 8/16 games at the Bike might be the best bet for action (and they are played in a nice section with plenty of space between tables, something I appreciate). Keep in mind I no longer work at the Bike (since this might seem like a Bike plug). ~ Rick |

Re: Commerce $6/12??
Don't play the Commerce 6/12. They usually only spread 1 table and it's rammed in the back behind a bunch of NL games in a noisy section. Plus, the chips are these deranged, mutant, virus-infested, rotten green filth-magnets covered in soot, disease, and rabies. At Commerce, it's 4/8 or 9/18.
The Bike and Hollywood Park 6/12 games are juicy as hell, and Hustler is very decent -- plus it's a nice place to play. |

The super big stud game (Larry Flynt, Barry Greenstein, Ted Forrest, Phil Ivey, et. al.) will often go in the back corner. The 6/12 games are nearby (but the real tiny no limit or the 4/8 are often closer). ~ Rick |

Re: Commerce $6/12??
Thanks for all the info. I thought that Commerce only had a few 6/12 tables, so I wasn't sure how good it would be. I live in Newport Beach, so it's a little drive to all of the casinos mentioned.
Between Hollywood Park and The Bike - which has more 6/12 tables or better games? Also, is early evening a pretty good time? I'd rather not be driving home at 2 or 3 am if I can help it. |

Does that Stud game at the Hustler always run Sunday nights? It would be cool to go and see them play.
