Default I\'ll be glad to be done with party (tech problem)

I'm not an idiot, the games are fine. The party client just keeps crashing on me.

I'll be playing, then all of a sudden my cursor will get all sluggish, and the party tables will either freeze or refuse to open (depending on if they are the front window or not.

Everything else on my system works fine before and after the crash, this is just Party.

I contacted support, but 24H help is curently unavailable and email support told me not to disclose my password to anyone and that their software was regularly updated to improve my gaming experience. Maybe I'll get a better response on my second try.

If only this problem was with absolute.

Anyway, anyone else having this problem with Party, or am I special?

I can't wait till I finish clearing this bonus and can go back to sites that don't crash.

Do you have PV or PT or any other programs running?

I had the same problem with both Party and Empire. Mouse gets sluggish and choppy, then screen goes white and tables are non-responsive. I use PV and PT at the time so I imagine it might be something with that.

The good news... I switched over to Eurobet about a week ago, and so far no freezing. It might be worth switching over if you want to keep the fishy games.

One thought, are you using a firewall? I disable my software firewall whenever I play (relying on the router's built-in firewall). There is so much data transfer in both directions that Norton was slowing me down. McAfee has the same reputation. Just do a restart after your session to enable the firewall.

I have had this problem, but only after 'extended' play.
Usually 500-600 hands and I start thinking about logging
off and restarting the computer.

I sometimes have PT, and ocassionally GT+ running. By no means always, and party actually seems MORE stable with GT+.

It happens when I run party, no matter how many / few other programs I have going.

Eurobet is better for me too (I play there when there isn't a party bonus) but it's been a while since I played there so I can't remember how much better.

I'll look into the firewall issue, there might be something in that.

We understand from your e-mail that your system is freezing up due to lack of enough temporary memory (cache memory). We suggest you to clean it up on a regular basis. This would be atleast once in every 2-3 hours.

Please also note that PartyPoker being a live site and a gaming software occupies a considerably large part of your cache memory.

Please follow the procedure below to delete your temporary internet folder:

1) Close all programs/windows and open Internet Explorer

2) Click on Tools on the menu bar

3) Click on Internet Options.

4) Click on "Delete Files". Check "Delete all offline content" option.

5) Click on "View Files". Click on "Edit" on the top and click on "Select All". Press the "Del" on the keyboard. Close this window. Also close the Settings window.

6) Click on the "Clear History" button. Click on "Yes" to confirm. Click "Ok" and close all the windows. Also close Internet Explorer.

Note: Please do not disclose your password to any individual/organization claiming to represent us. We will never ask you for the password to your account. If you receive any email or phone call from anyone requesting you to provide your password please report it to us immediately.

Our Customer Care Department is available 24/7 to assist you via email.

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

This seems like the weirdest freaking advice ever. Does this make any sense to anyone else?

I'll try it (even though I don't use IE). I'll even clear my firefox cache.

Dear Party,

I would lay 10-1 that you don't understand [censored].

I'm going to play on a site that doesn't crash.

Penguin.

This actually is probably correct regarding it being a memory problem, but only because their software does a poor job of handling it in that they are not reusing memory that was previously used to store various table or lobby info and thus just keep needing more. If you are still using 98/ME this will especially be a problem.

I've been having the same problem with Party Poker this week. I couldn't even play in the 5k free roll.

Party for some reason kept spiking my cpu usage to 100% constantly.

The tourney was the biggest problem, but even two of the four ring tables kept freezing while the other two played fine. Got the message that I lost connection at some tables while playing others just fine.

Don't know what to make of it. Won't worry again until next reload comes. If problem persists then I'll try to figure it out.
