Default Where to play around cincinnati (within 2 hours or so)

I'm interested in playing stud (up to 10-20) holdem (up to 10-20) and no limit up to 500 max. I've heard good things about the belterra, do they run stud? Anyone know what the drive is like? Do they run stud? any other opinions

I drive slow, get there in 1hr and 15 min. 10/20 usually runs (holdem). Never seen any stud running. I play maybe twice a month, on weekends only, however. Nice room.

If you are from Ohio, you are no doubt making this 45 min. drive in 1hr and 15 min. going all the way in the passing lane.

I used to say good things about Belterra, but today was the crusher (12/26). The place was mobbed for the 1pm tournament. I got there at 10:30 and didn't get a table until 12:30 and barely got a seat at the tournament which they oversold. I bounced out of the tournament early but the lists for limit games was absolutely out of sight. Gave up about 2pm and made the hour long trip back to L'ville. Won't be making that mistake again. The woman that runs the poker room is great but overwhelmed: very little help and not enough dealers! I always enjoyed it on a regular day but it will be a cold day in July before setting foot there again. By the way . . . the comps really suck at Belterra for a regular player (poker or slots).

WOW! You show up mid-morning on a day everyone has the day off, and had to wait 2 hours for a table. Oh, and you got a seat in the tourney they were running also.

Yeah, I wouldn't go back either.

Yeah...I don't get the complaint either.

Nobody was working on 12/26....thus a lot of people went there.

This was not an incident that was isolated to only the Belterra I'm sure.
I bet Caesar's room was packed also.

It was because of the DAY you chose to play...not the location. You shouldn't have a gripe with Belterra because of this.
