Default If Randell-El doesn\'t lateral, do the Steelers win?

The Pats would probably have been down by 10 points at that point, with a huge momentum after ripping away a fumble, quickly driving down the field on a big play, and (probably) scoring a touchdown.

That could have fundamentally changed the flow of the game.

One thought that I have- this could be a key turnaround point for the Pats season.

Flame away.

The Pats had 3 crucial, bad turnovers of their own, but of course Randel-El's fumble was entirely self-inflicted. I still think the Pats would've found a way to win. Many "What ifs" in this one.

True. LOTS of what ifs. You have to capitilize on turnovers, especialy those red zone turnovers, and the Steelers did not on Sunday.

Both teams are overrated IMHO. I'm thinking SD will give the Pats all they want this week if they can play like they did last night.

It's true the Steelers were only one play from winning this game. It's also true the Patriots were only one play from winning by two scores. There were too many mistakes last night by both teams. Iv'e said it before. The Patriots fans should be happy about the win as a loss would have put them in a big hole but NEITHER team should be happy about the way they played last night.

I still don't understand why I keep reading this. I am quite happy with the way the Pats played - particularly in the 2nd half.

And I seriously doubt anyone here has the authority to say otherwise. It'd take a vast knowledge of football and many hours of frame by frame video analysis to determine how well either team actually played. A win on the road against Pittsburgh despite a -2 turnover differential is enough to satisfy me.

You have to remember the Pats had two key turnovers in the redzone. Roethlisberger wasnt 100% in the second half.

I think what he means to say is, "I am quite happy that Bill Cowher inexplicably got away from the two things that worked so well in the first half: running the ball on offense, and blitzing New England's beleaguered offensive line on defense.

Once these two insane "adjustments" were made, the Patriots looked much better on both sides of the ball.

dude the Pats dominated this game. if it wasnt for the 2 red zone turnovers this game would have been a blowout. roethlisburger is a lucky piece of **** he should have gotten picked twice also and sacked many more times than that. smart money was on the pats coming off a loss they were the hungrier team.
