Default How many times are you guys going to ask if the games have gotten bad?

How many times are you guys going to ask if the games have gotten bad, before you understand the games are great? They may not be the SAME as a year ago, they may not be quite as juicy, but you are living in the golden age of poker. This goes for both online as well as casino and card room games.

Look long term here, guys. I remember reading the same complaints last year, but the good players are still moving up from the lower limits............ What do you suppose that means?

Poker (also meaning its players as a mass) is not a static game, it is a fluid game - a constantly moving animal that sheds its skin and reproduces itself, stronger, both more daring and more cunning with each passing day.

Reading a book or two can help you understand how the game was played six months ago, but you as a thinking, creative individual must adapt your own flexable, aggressive strategy at every turn. If you don't, you are living in the past, damned to repeat history, as the strong players pass you by, often leaving nothing but eviserated carcasses in their wake.

If you are finding the games so much tougher that you can't seem to make your 1.5/BB/hour, then there are three possible things you can do:

a) Use better game selection

b) Search for other sites to play

c) Improve your game

All are important, but only one can (and must) be done at every oportunity. That all-important thing is to continue to improve your game, and as others say "It ain't even close."

So, quit bitching about it being tough right now, because it ain't - and start working harder on your game.

Good luck this week - see y'all at the WSOP
