Take this person all in?
PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero calls, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB checks. Flop: (4.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, MP3 raises, BB folds, UTG folds, Hero calls. Turn: (4.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP3 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP3 calls $1.75 (All-In). River: (10.12 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: 10.12 BB So on this one the player I put all in (MP3) is loose with a VP$IP of 60. When I saw on the turn that 3 bets would put him all in I went for it. Is this something anybody else would have done? |

Re: Take this person all in?
Consider raising preflop if UTG sucks.
At the turn, his last money is going in whether you raise or not. If you're not folding, raising or calling and calling the river are both going to end the same way. |

Consider raising preflop if UTG sucks. [/ QUOTE ] Consider? I raise this about 90% in MP2 versus one limper. How often do you raise this? |

[/ QUOTE ] you raise this regardless of your read on UTG 90% of the time? i wouldnt advocate this as a usual play w/out a read as KJo isnt THAT strong of a hand. if UTG has his wits about him youre going up against a weaker hand area a big time dog. |

How many hands does UTG limp that dominate KJ? [/ QUOTE ] That's the question. Sometimes there's a rock UTG. If that's the case, you could even consider folding. However, there are a lot of donks who'll be UTG, too. Raise them. Know thy opponent. |

How many hands does UTG limp that dominate KJ? [/ QUOTE ] IF (big if) the player is playing "proper" starting hands from position you wouldnt dominate any of them. there's normally no need to throw in a raise. especially from MP2. |

Re: Take this person all in?
*grunch*
I 3bet the flop. 1. If villian caps. I bet\fold the 8 turn. 2. If villian calls. I bet\call. Check\fold UI. Someone tell me if this is terrible please. EDIT: Assuming villian has enough money. Otherwise he goes all in on the turn in 1. and I call. or he bets .25 BB on the river and I call. |
