Default game theory and spirit rock

I dont post on here often so I dont know that this has been asked before... But I have been reading that from a game theory standpoint Spirit Rock/Mahatma etc...has a style of play that is most correct according to game theory. I wanted to know if anybody could explain this along with the reasoning as to what makes it such an effective style

Barring that no one else explains it, I would like to refer you to Phil Gordon's Little Green Book as he mentions this near the end under a player profile. The person's style is in the same vein and is an interesting read.

The Young Gun
I have heard but not read Gordons book. How extensively does Gordon cover this style and does it make the book worth buying?

It isnt an extensive review of this strategy but he does write about it for around two pages.
