I'm unable to fold TPTK

Lately, because of a string of bad beats or whatever. Not sure but now I'm unable to fold top pair top kicker.

I just got AK suited in MP. I raised to $2.50 . I got one caller.

Flop: 9 T A

pot = 8

I bet $6

LP guy raises to $12

I call.

Turn: T

I check
LP checks

River: X

I bet $5

He reraises all-in for $12

I call the $7

He shows AT full house.
I show how stupid I am.

How come I can't fold anymore ? I can't build bankroll if I can't fold. I estimate that my bankroll should probably be about +300 more than it is if I would be able to fold.

I guess I either always think that someone is making a move on me or I'm just afraid of being outplayed so much that I just call.

Always watch for "the move for the kill" when you have TPTK. It's hard because you may need a read on whomever you're playing, or you may have to just read their bet. Might be a steal attempt. It's a tough spot to be in, no doubt, but in my opinion if you haven't played a few orbits with this guy, you have to lay it down unless you have a good reason to think he's bluffing. Which SUCKS, but it beats losing your stack.

I flopped a straight. I check. LP bets 50 cents. I raise to $5.50 he minimum raises me. Should I fold this ? I reraised all-in on flop and got my ass handed to me. He had 6 7 . What are the odds that we both flopped the straight ?

Limit. You won't constantly live in fear of opponents making too many moves on you.

I switched to No Limit because I couldn't win at limit. I've lost hundreds at limit. I never made a consistent profit until going to No Limit. Are you saying that I can't teach myself when my TPTK is no good ? I just seem to have a problem folding marginal hands such as TPTK to raises on the flop and turn.

No but based on the posts you have made on the forum you do not have the dicipline or emotional stability to be a long term winner in the game, it may be you just post your bad beats or whatever but you are going to go bankrupt at some point.

As for what game to suggest, you need a game to increase your patience and dicipline, my first thought was limit holdem but suckouts happen big time there particulary at lower limits. So I am going to say Pot Limit Omaha, why because its a game of the nuts, either having them or having a hand that draws to the nuts, to win a low limits you need to peddle the nuts or draw to the nuts with odds, you need patience and dicipline if not you will get raped.

So my suggestions are limit holdem or PLO.
