Well, with a day to calm down, I'm just coming to terms with the big losses. My ex girlfriend was seen on CNN walking the dog she was watching, so even though there is no communication, I know she is OK.
12 blocks away from my house is confirmed underwater, and now that it seems probable that we wont be allowed back anytime soon, I just booked tickets to Miami, where my life will change drastically. My dad who I haven't seen in years is giving me the keys to his corvette, which I will be completely embarassed to drive <showy things like that are, to me, laughable> and he lives near the beach though, and a week of forgetting about what me and my friends will have to go through upon returning is just what the psychologists would order. Strong possibilty I lost everything, but I believe everyone I know is alive. And Im glad I play the game we do not mention here in OOT with a overly large bankroll, as submerged houses is another one of those expenses that you just never seem to plan for. I thought dumping coffee on my laptop last month was bad for business, Yeesh. Anybody who works for FEMA, put in a good word for little ole Blatz

we need the REALLY good forces from the national guard and armed forces to help here. just think what the seabees (sp?) alone could do!
oh.. wait... they are busy with the WMD's!! i hate W. frikking idiot. his speech was lip service. i have friends i can't find, and there is nothing but the salvation army left to help because they are all in iraq. </rant>

Where the hell is the National Guard?
They decide to put 10,000 people into the superdome, and 4 days later not one single supply has made it to these people. No national guard presence, no food, no water. What the hell is our government doing?
