Default Now what?

My bankroll before tonight was $770. I was planning on getting it up to around $1100 to play the 22's.

Well, now it's $2755 thanks to a big MTT score. My day finally came.

What would you all recommend? As you can see my bankroll standards are on the tighter side.

establish yourself at the 22s and build your bankroll there ... congrats on your MTT score but no need to rush up the SNG ladder before you feel comfortable.

No reason not to play the 22's now. I wouldn't skip this level either unless you truly feel confident that you can beat this level of play

I agree, but my bankroll requirements are a bit more extensive, I wanna have 100 buyins... Sucks to have a 50 buyin bankroll and then have a 20 buyin downswing.

So, start the $20s. You'd have wanted to get to $1650 before starting the $30s, right? That was a $550 increase. I'd play the $20s until you hit $3305. Then, to play the $50s, you'd be wanting $2750 - an increase of $1100 more. I'd therefore move up once you hit $4405. The gap decreases bit by bit, and it really can't hurt to have a larger bankroll than you technically require, UNLESS you can beat those higher games.

There's no way to tell if you can beat those higher games or not yet, except to play them, even if just for a while rather than the couple thousand SNG you need to judge your ROI there.

[censored], i misread your post, i thougt you said you were ALREADY at the 22's.

Yea skipping 2 levels i dont recommend.. from the 22's to 55's shouldnt be too bad, but apparently theres a decent difference between teh 11's and 22's.

So, yea go to the 22's for a bit then i think you can skip the 33's, ut i don't really know what i'm talking about.

To be honest, I found the $22 to $33 jump a lot harder than the $11 to $22 jump. Could just be that I was on a good run, switched, then ran bad for a while... But I had a tough time.

As Erieguy suggested in a very incisive post some time ago, the 33's are the toughest level. That is specifically true because there no $44 level. A lot of people feel the jump from $33 to $55 is a pretty big step, and are doing well at the $33s. Therefore don't want to take the risk at $55 until they have built up a considerable bankroll. That means there are is probably a higher percentage of good players at the $33 level than anywhere else.

So your thought is right on the money. That makes the step from $22 to $33 a little tougher than other moves up.

BTW, congrats to ClaytonN on the nice score.

go to the $22's for at least a while. part of the reason for the gradual climb is geting used to the larger swings. even if you won 10k and had the skill for 109's, the first 2k slide would feel awful. each time you move up you get used to the larger wins and losses, then the next step is a little more etc. The way the games play also gradually changes, and going in steps makes it easier to make those adjustments.
