Default Rake Standard?

I apalogize if this is order but i have a Question regarding the rake at Live NL Cash games. What's the standard here? I've read that they take a certain amount from the players at time intervals of, say, 30 mins or so. How much rake would be expected at say, 5/10 blinds.
I was planning on going to Lucky Chances Casino for some NL Cash and wanted to know how much I'd have to pay the casino to play, thanks!

The 1/2 NL game was $6/half and 5/5 was $7/half. 5/5 is only spread Sunday nights.

I wouldn't say thats standard, its actually kinda steep. Out east, 1/2 NL is raked 10% to $4 in AC and I think its $5/half at the Fox. The 1/2 games I've played in NYC are usually $4/half.

Bigger NL is all time. 2/5 at the Borgata is $5/half (same as the 10/20 limit game) and in the city I've played $2/5 for $6/half. I think the Fox spreads 5/5 NL for $6 or $7/half.

Actually, its $5/half hour for the 1/2 game. I had heard it was only $6 for the 5/5 but haven't played it myself so I could be mistaken.

The standards vary according to location. The trend in Los Angeles is going towards drop for all but the largest games.

For example, if you venture south the Bicycle Casino's 5-10 blind $500 minimum buy-in no limit game (now going strong just about every day starting at about 4:00 pm), the drop is:

$3 for 9 or 8 players
$2 for 7 or 6
$1 for 5
50 cents for four or less
50 cents for no flop (less than other LA clubs)

Note this game doesn't have a jackpot or jackpot drop (restricted buy in games do). Well known local PL/NL player Mo Fathipour hosting and he and the game is generally attracting an action crowd.

I've heard talf of players "hosting" a live game in a casino/card room several times now. What exactly does this mean? Thanks and excuse my ignorance.
