In a difficult full table game, does anyone fold KQo UTG?
I almost never play full table games, and I recently had an argument with a friend about KQo utg. He claimed that he does not know a single player at foxwoods who would fold KQo UTG (in a 20-40 game which often gets difficult) and he claimed that it is always incorrect to fold this hand UTG.
Please help settle our argument. |

Really depends. Probably not giving much away by mucking it and AJo UTG ten handed.

Re: In a difficult full table game, does anyone fold KQo UTG?
In a tough, 10-handed game, I muck KQo UTG. In a soft game, I play it... sometimes for a raise and sometimes for a limp. Whether I raise or limp depends on who is in the blinds, what is likely to happen behind me if I raise/limp, etc.
In any event, even in soft games, the hand is not worth much UTG. There are a lot more worthwhile things to argue about. |

I try not to play in games where I can't play KQo utg.

If I am in a game I consider difficult, KQo is an easy muck under the gun.

Re: In a difficult full table game, does anyone fold KQo UTG?
Last night 20/40 game was an openers game. So whatever I was playing was comming in for a raise. KQo was not going to be played UTG by myself though I saw several players bring it in UTG along with KJo.
My tough decision last night was what to do with 88 and 77 UTG. |

Sometimes you just don't have a choice. With the must move chaining on the 10/20 the 20/40 is normally a better game, but the tougher players are tougher. |
