Live game or online? If it's live, you COULD attribute this statistical anomaly to a nonrandom shuffle. If it was online, you are simply lucky...

This is the probability of getting AA in 4 consecutive hands given that only 4 hands are dealt. If 5 hands are dealt the odds almost double. The longer the session, the greater the chance. (ok, it was still crazy luck)

wouldn't it be to the third power? He'll always start with one AA. It's a question of how often he'll get dealt the next three in succession.

Was it all on one table, or were you multitabling and the AA was spread out among them?

No big deal. Over the years, I have seen a few shots longer than that four peat (of yours). One thing I know for sure; if that sequence of pocket aces 4 times in a row occurred in a home or private game, than some of the other players would suspect cheating. Years ago….

In a draw poker “Jacks-or-better” game in Gardena, CA when the players dealt the cards; one guy temporary left the game for a drink at a local bar, and the first time he dealt after returning; he dealt himself four-of-kind and another player a pat hand. He repeated this feat two more times after coming back from the bar. All of us (the other players) at the table were convinced that he was cheating. The funny thing is that after observing this guy over the years; I really don’t believe he was capable of cheating. It was just a nearly impossible sequence of events that happened.

um... just a heads up... 221^4 is not 10,793,861... that's 221^3...

221^4 is actually 2,385,443,281... to 1....

the OP question is: "what are the odds my next four starting hands are aces?"

you are answering: "I just got aces. what are my odds my next three hands are aces too?"
