Default Worst Omaha 8OB hand

What is statistically the worst, full ring, Omaha 8OB hand? 9-9-9-9? I'm essentially looking for O8B the equivalent of 7-2 offsuit.

has to be 2222. You can't make a low. Is it even possible to win with 2222? I don't think it is, in a full-ring all-in situation.

Point taken. In a full ring situation, I don't think 2-2-2-2 can win...if every player showsdown.

actually it could win if there is a 3 of a kind on the board and no one else has a pair.

How do you distribute 9 other omaha hands and 5 cards on board without someone having a pair?

Board:
Ah Ad Ac Ks Qs
Unused cards: As Kc Kd Kh Qc Qd Qh
Hands: (mix and match suits as desired)
3456 x4
789T
789J
78TJ
79TJ
89TJ
and the 2222 wins. You could mix up the suits on the flop to make flushes possible, of course, just don't get caught making a straight flush in one of the xxTJ hands. Yea, 2222 looks pretty freaking terrible.

Lemme know if I messed up, but there should be 36 cards that aren't As, Ks, Qs, or 2s and you wanna make 9 4-card hands without any pairs

edit: wow, beaten by almost 10 min... I type slow...

You have the J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] twice...but it's obvious you mean the J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Other than that, nothing jumps out at me.

Question: Is it even possible to win with 2222?

Answer: Of course it's possible.

Very rough approximation: (for scooping in OM8)

Assume: Assume the final board cards (in any order) are X X X Y Z; where X X X represents any set of cards; 9 or higher (such as three 9's or three kings), and Y & Z represent any other two cards in the deck other than a deuce. The pocket hand with 2222 consists of a full house "XXX 22; (such as KKK22)." The odds of this board event "XXXYZ" occurring are maybe about once in 300 deals. The odds of a player being dealt "2222" are maybe once in 20,000; and the probability of the other nine players not having a pair are maybe about:

(0.5)^9 = 0.00195 = (about) 0.2% or once in 500 deals. Therefore....

The probability of 2222 winning in Omaha8 is maybe:

1/300/20,000/500 = about 3.33 wins in ten billion deals. And....

The probability of 2222 winning in high only Omaha is maybe about:

once in a billion deals.

The errors resulting from the assumptions in this rough analysis are really just a moot point.
Why: It is almost an impossible event during probably most poker players lifetimes. And even if the errors involved in this calculation are plus or minus 1000%; it would still be an improbable event....

This isn't hold'em. You don't have to avoid the board's kickers.

If the board is A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], and you have K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], you lose to 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. You have AAAKJ, and lose to a full house, AAA22.
