Who are the other 11? What's your #? Is there forever a line in the sand between those who registered on 09.02.2002 and those who registered later? Random thoughts after reading yet another repetitive immaterial post in some random forum.

Mason is #3
Sklansky, M is #4
Sklansky, D is #5
Ray is #6
Chuck is #7

They all registered on 08.28.2002, 5 days prior to the software change. So there are 2 names that Chuck created that we don't know about at #1 and #2, and maybe more between #8-#11.

I'm guessing #1 & #2 are some anonymous sysadmin types that they had set it up originally.

number 24. I think all those threads about how awful the new software is should get a bump.

The biggest debate, and it was a huge one, was whether or not the default should be for threads to be "bumped" to the top of the page with each new response. Prior to the software change, threads just naturally died as they fell to the bottom, always beneath and new thread that was more recently posted. It took about a month to finally sell to Chuck that the threads should be bumped to allow quality discussion to continue and to force the garbage to the bottom.

And then there was the whole flat/threaded mode debate.

Good times.

Edit: Don't forget how upset everyone was to actually have to register. Before you could just type in a name and post.
