Considering the absolute derth of talent on this team other than a few freshmen that Zook was able to salvage, it's looking like a better than can be expected season. Before the year, I'd have been thrilled to get to 4 wins, now I'm thinking we can get to 4 and maybe even 5.

Leading at Cal into the 4th quarter and losing the game on a punt return for TD doesn't bother me. And as bad as the D looked against Rutgers, it's looking more like it's just bad and not heinous. That's encouraging. Anything to help put the building blocks in place and get some momentum going into next year's recruiting. Turner really left the cupboard bare.
