Default New to Limit SNGs

I've been playing .5/1.00 full0ring Holdem for about at a year now with a very successful winrate. I would like to switch to playing SNGs now, sticking to limit hold'em of course.

Are there any helpful links or books to get me started?
What are some key differences that I need to recognize and change from .5/1.00 to SNG transition? What aspects of the game should I now focus on?
Thanks for all the help.

You might wanna try no limit, just cause there's a lot more info about it here.

But basically, as the blinds go up relative to your stack, you'll need to be more aggressive. A decent limit ring game player should be able to beat SNGs no problem, as long as you ramp up the aggression towards the end.

I think NLHE SnGs are the hardest to beat. Whenever I try the others (limit, omaha, 7 stud) I often make the money without knowing what I am doing.

As for the limit HE SnGs. Tight early. Play your strong hands aggressively. When blinds go up try to steal as much as you can. Usually people are in every hand early on so a bunch of the bad players have very low/very big stacks.

I play limit SnG's like I throw left handed. Awful.

Im going to try an experiment.

$5+1 Limit HE SnG.

I will fold everything except AA-JJ, AK-AQs.

I think it is possible to almost fold your way ITM in these things. If it goes well I will try again with a tighter range.

Getting AJ in BB and a xxJ flop kinda ruined it. Then in SB I had to complete for 5 more chips with T9s and flop was xx9 which held up. I would have folded both for a raise though. I am already up to 1190 without really playing anything apart from those two blind hands.

It's level 7 and four players left. I am last with 745 chips. I have only gotten one hand I played. AA which my opponent folded to on the flop. Had one AQo but since it wasn't suited I had to fold.

The biggest problem is that the other players keep taking turn winning pots from each other with horrible play. So they aren't eliminated.

Fun conversation at my table

Symbo: <my nick> is playing TIGHT
coolme111: yup
coolme111: whats that about, <my nick>?
Symbo: huh?
<my nick>: Patience is a virtue

Symbo: don't be scared to lose...otherwise you will

Update. I ended 3rd. Third stack got all his chips in with AK vs 22 on a rag flop. I had 445 chips. Blinds 150/300.

I played one hand outside the blinds. But I got some help from the 300 chips I made from the blinds in level 1.
