whats the minimum hand you would call with here?
14 people left in the tourny,9 get paid.
my stack is 15K ,blinds are 1200 and 2400. im on the SB with 77.8 handed game. every folds to UTG+3 who goes all in making it 12K. every one folds to me .the BB has 6K so i have him coverd. now some other comments that i considered: 1.i dont just wanna make the money,i wanna make good money(top3). 2.the raiser has just after getting his AA busted by T9 going from 20K to 10K. 3.i dont have much read on him,he didnt straike me as very good strong though. 4. i was sure he didnt have a higher pair ,but pretty sure he had to over cards. now i made the call so what im wondering is this: 1.was it a bad call? 2.what is the minimum hand required here to make the call a must? Answer: what happend was i actually called and he showed K9 off and got a straight to win the hand. |

Re: whats the minimum hand you would call with here?
1) Try spacing out your post.
2) Don't tell us results for at least 10 replies if you want an unbiased answer. 3) You're essentially risking your tournament live on a coinflip at best. Fold and wait for a better spot. |

AK, AA-JJ.
Maybe TT or AQ with a great read since he may be tilting. No way 77. Coinflip at best and you're crippled if you lose. |

Re: whats the minimum hand you would call with here?
Assuming BB folds, you need to be about 41% vs his range of hands to make calling profitable, since when he calls you're in pretty bad shape I dont like calling unless I feel I'm better than 45% vs his range. Put him on a range of hands that he'd make this play with, download pokerstove and run the numbers.
After messing around with it the minimum hands I got were 44+, A9o+, A8s, KJs+, KQ |
