Default Rule Question (xpost)

Blinds 50 100
UTG raises to 250
folded to the BB who goes all in for 1300 more and is covered.

Dealer screws up and thinks the BB folded. Takes all the Muck cards cards left in the deck and mixes them enough so there is no way to retain he inegrity of the deck. Both players still have there hole cards.

UTG still has to decide

What happens now>??

UTG has to decide if he is calling. If he folds the discussion is ended.

If he calls I see no other alternative then to shuffle the remaining deck of 48 cards and put out a board.

This really isn't that big a deal since UTG has no information about the cards in the deck.

Call the floorman. Floorman first explains to both players that the hand is still live and after UTG makes his decision (if it is a call) the deck will be reshuffled and a flop put out in the normal fashion.

Not much of an alternative here. The the deck and muck have to be shuffled and the hand continues. Mistakes happen.

I back Rick 100% on this on as well. I've seen this happen before when I was playing a tourney. A good floorperson came over and this is how it was handled.
