I'm suprised people actually answered you instead of just pointing out the obvious boastfulness of the original post. [ QUOTE ]
I can't seem to understand how players like Negranu and P Ivey can find opponents that are whilling to play them for even money so easily.

[/ QUOTE ] and besides the wonderful spelling, the fact that you compare yourself to these two players demonstrates a superficial knowledge (stuff you prob. saw on ESPN) of the game as well as an awesome amount of hubris (not a good thing)

Go to a casino or go to an online cardroom.

The reason why pros get action is that the geese run to the axe. Just one player playing over their limits against eight strong opponents will make it worthwhile for the strong players to play with this guy and each other.

[/ QUOTE ]

Casino --> Rake
Online --> Rake + deposit/withdrawal fees + cannot physically read opponents + possibly rigged.

I broke even in my online experience, but only because of the times I had my opponents just where I wanted getting lucky. Ie: I have AK, flop is AKx, I trap my opponent to go all in with his KQ and will hit runner-runner. Or, I am showing aggression going all in in almost any preflop stealing blinds late in a tournament, finally get delt KK, only raise 3 BB, one player reraises me ALL-IN hoping that I would fold against his pocket 6's. Instead he will hit his 6 or even a 7543x board.

But live Poker is different: just because the board reads something like QQTTx and I hold a T doesn't mean my opponent MUST ABSOLUTELY, in spite of checking the flop and turn, have a Queen somehow magically. I would be able to read that in real life, not online.

[/ QUOTE ]

i guarantee that you are not too good. in fact, you most likely suck.

Yes, you're too good. You should retire from poker and give the rest of us a chance.

No

Online is not rigged -- bad beats happen more often because the hands move faster.

If you're that good, head to a casino and play the highest stakes you can afford.

I don't think I'm THAT good. For the stakes and players I am playing right now, I AM too good, I can shuffle chips, stare down opponents, show weakness when holding a monster, read what the opponents are upto, etc. But why move ahead when I'm making money?

I can't play online because when dummies make stupid moves, for instance on a K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] flop I hold K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and go all-in late in a single table tourney. My opponent (preflop limper calling to my preflop raise) thinks and thinks some more and finally calls with his Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hey, I had him dominated before the flop drawing to a Queen and that King hitting only kills his hand. But what else does he hit but the 10 on the river!!!

Not to burst your bubble, but a tourney should take more than 4 hours. You sir, we're playing hold 'em crapshoots.

You make money with each mistake your opponenets make. If you don't understand that, you need to learn more.

Uh, to make more money?
