Scold my KK fold
I just want to be sure that I was wrong. Please scold me and call me dirty names for folding my KK on the river. To me I think this is an example of "call it for one more bet on the river" and a wake-up call for me to stop being so weak-tight.

Re: Scold my KK fold
this is a case where calling that turn check raise is committing you to call the river bet.
in general, folding the turn is correct. |

Re: Scold my KK fold
Without a read, I'd showdown to see if they are capable of check-raise bluffing.
I'd almost always call here the turn check-raise, though, and that does commit you to the pot somewhat. |

Re: Scold my KK fold
only a small scold i think: if you're going to call the c/r on the turn, then show your hand down, other wise fold the turn.

Re: Scold my KK fold
If you're gonna fold, fold the turn. If you're behind, you've only got 2 outs in a relatively small pot. With no reads, I think I fold the turn. The average player is unlikely to be bluffing here.

Re: Scold my KK fold
I'm pretty sure if you're going to call the turn raise, you should be calling the river bet as well. That's how I would play it.

So I need to link these actions in my mind. If I'm going to call a turn checkraise like that, then don't wuss out and go to showdown and see what Nemesis has. I knew in retrospect that folding the river was wrong, and you have given me a reason why. Next time, just folding the turn is better. This helps a lot. Thanks. |

Re: Scold my KK fold
Given a read, a fold might be ok. But either fold the turn or call the river.
