I think you played it fine. Maybe a tad results oriented since he checked behind on the river? I think you are beat often enough here that calling down is preferable to raising. It's rare that the 10/20 bluffer doesn't continue his bluff on the river, so the stop n' go, really accomplishes little.

This isn't the right time for a stop and go. (If you were worried about J9 and were intending to just call the river until the seven hit, never mind.)
Your opponent will have a worse queen, pocket pair or some kind of draw a lot more often than he has you beat. I 3-bet. |
