I have played at cache creek, and their policy at 3/6 and lower is to not require a post unless you have missed your blinds.

BTW the rake at their 3/6 table is insanely high, it's $3 anytime there is a flop (regardless of pot size) and I believe they take an additional $1 for their bad beat jackpot, which is structured similar to party's jackpot (quads vs quads or better).
