Default 99 with aces... river bet ok?

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 max, 9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
5 folds, CO raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets, Hero calls, BB folds.

Turn: (4 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

River: (4 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 8 BB
I'm thinking the river bet was ok here, but should have folded to the raise. Agree/Disagree?

You have to 3bet this preflop, and that will significantly change the way the hand plays.

On the flop, you've got to decide if there's a good chance you have the best hand right then, because there's no way you have odds to call. I might donkbet the flop (given your preflop call) and fold to a raise. If he just calls, bet/fold the turn.

Fold on the river against someone you don't perceive as a moron.

I wouldn't bet the river. The only worse hands that will call you are smaller pocket pairs, and it's very unlikely that he will fold a better hand after you checked the turn. Further more, a check might induce a bluff from smaller pocket pairs or hands like KQ, KT. Therefore, I would prefer check/call on the river.

I also agree that you should 3-bet preflop and fold or raise the flop.

I don't think you played this aggressively enough.

Preflop I'd 3-bet.
Consider leading the flop or check-raising.

Calling the river raise seems okay, CO is bluffing or has a worse hand enough of the time.
