I think you played it well. Ultra-safe cards for you on the turn and river. So you basically want to value bet as much as he will call for. you might have lost him if you pushed (even though it would only be ~1000 more) What was he calling the river with? just a queen?

no...he also had a 2...but a weaker kicker. If i knew he had the 2 i'd of pushed, obviously i didn't. I had him either on a flush draw or AQ, i was praying for an Ace to hit the river so i could push. But i want feedback if i played it aggressively enough, i guess i walk into a full house enough times in that situation, and i wind up playing timidly. Or i bet too aggressively and he hits his flush and i'm on the rail. Bad habit i'm trying to break so that's why i'm looking for all feedback on hands.

First of all, "too aggressively and he hit his flush" is backwards thinking. The mistake is made by playing slowly so that villian has correct odds to chase his flush. in your example, he makes the mistake but gets lucky.

Another point. 222 is probably the safest of all trips because the villian would have had to call preflop with absolute garbage to make a full house (in this case for example, 72, Q2 or J2). Even the most donkish players usually don't play a deuce unless it comes with an ace or another deuce.

In fact trip deuces may be the only trips I will slowplay if my opponent isn't the big blind (where he could have the above holdings) and if it is a rainbow flop.

Again, I think you played this very well.

You probably shouldn't call preflop. Good play betting the flop there. When villain bets on fourth, he likely thinks he has the best hand, so you can probably raise more than minimum, but you know him better than I do.

Is this a SNG or a tournament? I play on Party so maybe the deep stacks are normal for another site.

Anyway, A2s UTG is usually an insta-fold for me.
