I know how you all feel about tipping. It would be nice if the tips came from the rake instead of the pots.

It's fascinating to see what a large number of people are concerned about this topic.

I suspect that many people resent having to tip but there are also feelings of stingyness and/or guilt coming into play.

I loathe poker rooms though where dealers don't keep their tips. I will tip always if the dealers pocket tips but in some areas where the tip goes to a community pool I am reluctant to tip nearly as much or as often.
My general experience has been that these dealers are slower and less good for the game since they have no reason to deal quickly and well since they can ride on the shirt tails of other dealers.
This is even worse if they share tips with other areas like Blackjack etc.
