This was a great movie. The end where they break out Mario3 after he'd practiced a million hours on all the other games, BIMO.

NES Power Glove - no other contenders are even close.

Super scope was not all that bad.

The track mat was not all that bad either, I mean no kid can ever jump hurdles and do long jumps so it wasn't that terrible.

Power glove was the biggest piece of [censored] of all time.

Atari Mindlink

Introduced as a telepathic controller, it actually was based on eyebrow movements, and apparently after using one for 10-20 minutes you had an incredible headache.

Virtual Boy (not sure if this was any good)

[/ QUOTE ]

Virtual Boy was cute, and a system rather than an accessory. Definitely not ready for prime time, though.

i say virtual boy, because it was so hard to play. I remember playing the tennis game and my eyes hurt like hell after 5 minutes. Everything is all red.

NES R.O.B. (Robotic Operation Buddy) I don't know anyone who ever had one of these, or how it worked, but I remember it just looked ridiculous

[/ QUOTE ]
I had one bundled with my NES. Ridiculous is an understatement.

A little video game history...

The ROB was included with the original NES because after the big video game crash a few years earlier none of the major retailers would consider stocking a new video game system. With ROB nintendo was able to sell the system as a "Robot Toy" instead of a game system. Once it had become a hit they quickly stopped producing ROB.

The U-Force.

It was for the original Nintendo and sucked balls. It was this thing where you were supposed to be able to punch the air and it would read your hand movements or something.

I have no idea what games it could be used for other than Mike Tyson's Punch Out. I never had one, but I remember reading it was pretty much impossible to even beat Glass Joe with the thing.

I also need to add any wireless controller from 10+ years ago. They were all infrared, so you had to hold one about 12 inches from your Nintendo for it to work and get a constant signal. I had some for my NES and used them for about 7 seconds before I chucked them under my bed.
