Re: Weak HU play?
[ QUOTE ]
Why not raise flop? [/ QUOTE ] Greater value calling against this opponent. His SB capping standards are probably very wide. I would say any Broadway, pair, or A is possible without seeing him act HU yet. The turn and river card changed my projected plans for the later streets. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

Re: Weak HU play?
[ QUOTE ]
Do you think there is value in a river raise? You described this character as loose as well as laggy. Do you fear we will 3 bet you with a worse hand? [/ QUOTE ] Not on this board, I don't think it is safe and I'm not just talking about the J. My original plan on the flop was to consider raising the river until I saw the last two streets. I like, maybe a river raise if he'll always call it, never fold/3-bet. [/ QUOTE ] i prefer a flop raise far more than river. |

Re: Weak HU play?
I think we're trapping more money with a river raise, with less chance for him to play back at us with a better hand. If we raise a river blank, he's calling with a lot.

Re: Weak HU play?
i like the idea of calling the flop to raise a safe turn. too dangerous to wait til river on this one. either that or just raising on the flop. once the scare card hits i like the line you took.

Re: Weak HU play?
I like a flop raise but call/call/call given turn/river isn't terrible.

Re: Weak HU play?
We're either screwed on the flop, or we're safe. The only card we hate is the Ace, and he's got 3 outs to that.
So my question is, why isn't this WA/WB? |

So my question is, why isn't this WA/WB? [/ QUOTE ] Because he's usually not folding a hand that is WB and we're usually fairly far ahead but not necessarily way ahead. Rob |

Re: Weak HU play?
Aren't we better off punishing him in big bets rather then small ones?
