Take The Gamble?
Bodog 12000 Guaranteed
Blinds 100/200 VERY tight player is on my SB, I have seen him in 2-3 hands the whole time I've been at the table, however he has been advertising with his hands, has shown QQ when others folded, shown TT when he took the blinds with a 3ish BB raise, and his raise sizes have been standard with each. Folded to him for the first time, he is on SB, and raises to 920. He has 3000 behind, and I have 1605 after posting the 200 BB. This is a very large raise on his part. I am on BB with K9o. I shove it in, assuming no fold equity. Do you? |

GAMBOOOLLLL. I dont think i can fold K9 with under 10xBB here. Too much of a strange bet.

No, I think you're a coinflip a best, and dominated at worst. You're hardly desperate at this point. The player is tight. Find a better spot.

Re: Take The Gamble?
Really? I mean this was the first time it was folded to him, and it was quite an awkward raise on his part. Even as tight as he he was, you would figure he SHOULD try to take my blinds with any two here given his previous play, and the monster raise doesn't exactly look like he wants a call.. this really a turbo-fold?
Also, blinds were going up to 150/300 within this round. |

Re: Take The Gamble?
I don't see how you can call given your read.

Re: Take The Gamble?
Just because he is tight doesn't mean he isn't going to use his image to steal when folded to him for the first time in the SB.. My read was he had been advertising all of his hands, and this is the first time it was folded to him in the SB. He made standard raises with all of his big hands. This one was much bigger than normal, and didn't exactly look like it wanted a call. I figure he could (or SHOULD) be doing that with absolutely any two given the unique situation..

Re: Take The Gamble?
In general, I find that suspecting a tight player of having turned loose is -EV.
