Default Giving too much action in the blind? 600 nl

I'm playing my regular spazzy lag game. I was raising near 90% of SB vs BB encounters. Villain is a multitabler, but I don't think he's very good. Did I give too much action here? I don't know how to play this. I'm assuming I played it awful, because I'm posting it, and when I post a hand it means I played it badly.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

BB ($1219.17)
UTG ($588)
MP ($478.60)
Button ($554.25)
Hero ($983.35)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $3.

<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $40</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $125</font>, Hero calls $85.

<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $125</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $350</font>, I pushed and he had like 487 more.

I think he thought your original bet was continuation, your call meant you had a Q/PP, and the king might have helped him on the turn. or...set/two pr. i lean towards two pair...and a call

I checkraise the turn but that's me. The smallish turn bet is nice if you were looking to get raised (I'm assuming that was your plan).

I get stacked here if I'm behind.

nh.

Yep, with the way I was playing I figured he would put me on betting the K as a scare card.

What are the metagame and actual hand pros to checking here?

Meta-game allows me to bet flop with piece and not be worried about getting bluffed off on the turn and then getting in a river value bet. Anything else?

Edit: Also, would an overbet here be a possibility with this villain and my image?
