Villan is straightfwd player...

- the raise was for information, was the fold on the reraise the move?
- was the info raise even the correct play or am i calling down when bet into after leading 2 rounds?

If when playing this hand you told yourself you were going to fold to a 3-bet then you should just call his donk bet on the turn. You get to the river this way and see a showdown for the same price as your raise and fold. Getting to showdown when heads up is good. You might want to fold to a river bet UI.

I personally don't like it. People sometimes get so agressive defending their blinds that I'm not comfortable folding to the reraise (though maybe your read as straightforward suggests otherwise). I want to see a showdown.

I don't like a raise here. If villian has a straight, you're most likely getting 3bet, if villian is bluffing or decided to donkbet a weak pair he'll probably fold to the raise. I can't see many hands that you're ahead of that he'll pay you off with. I like calling down, maybe even folding to the turn bet if your read is strong enough (small pot, straightforward villian), but raising doesn't seem like a good option.

A raise-fold line on this turn is an expensive way to go about tossing a likely three outs. (I say 3 outs, because it appears Villain has one of the 8's, if your read is correct.)

If you trust your read of "straightforward" enough, you could just fold to the initial turn bet.

However, I do think there are a number of 3/6 players who would donk-bet a hand like 76 or A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (or even A9o), on this board. And some players would checkraise if they actually had an 8. (This opponent doesn't sound like one of the "checkraise with an 8" types, though.)

The turn raise would have more merit, I think, if you thought the chances were good that you had the best hand (or that you might be able to get Villain to fold a better one like QT that he had played this way for some reason; I'm not too optimistic about folding out a better hand, though).

I don't like the turn raise. Top pair is good heads up, maybe. But it's not good on this board. With a straightforward enough player (no pun intended), I may call the turn and fold the river, or just fold the turn.

To tell the truth, I don't really like your preflop raise. I would just fold in this spot. JTo plays well multiway, and poorly heads up. It's only jack-high, and often leaves you with jack-s**t. Any agree/disagree?

I agree heads up not worth it you need a few more in. Plus on that board so many times your outkicked also.

1) I fold this preflop, probably even suited. Anyone else?

2) W/o a solid read, Im just calling down turn/river. if you want to know if he's bluffing, you get the same info from calling, especially since if it's a bluff, he's 95% to bluff the river as well.
