As usual, the mid-majors are given absolutely no love whatsoever. Boise is the ONLY mid-major in the country that's in the Top 25? Are you f'n kidding me? Yeah, Louisville was a mid-major last year...but now they're in the - uh - BIG East.

Sorry pollsters, but you screw this up EVERY year. EVERY year 4-7 mids finish the season Top 25, and EVERY year you pick one sweetheart (like a Boise or a TCU) to start the season Top 25. What a joke.

Also. . .are you kidding me? Texas ahead of OU? WHY DO THEY DO THAT EVERY YEAR??? Until Mack Brown gets Bob Stoops' cack out his ass, Texas will fall to OU again and again and again.

Somebody needs to tell the dudes who gave votes to Kansas and Duke that this is a FOOTBALL poll.

[/ QUOTE ]
Steve Spurrier votes Duke #25 every year to thank them for giving him his start. No idea how Kansas got a vote.

Not really but the thread is about, but
<--- Dark Horse Heisman Candidate.

He'd be in serious consideration if we had a quarterback who could get it to him consistently.

Are we supposed to know who that is?

This poll sucks as usual. How 2 people didn't vote USC #1 is unbelievable.

I know who it is. His name is Calvin Johnson.

mmbt0ne is right though. The guy was basically unstoppable during the second half of last year. Also, he made one of the greatest catches of all time against NCSU.

I don't think Mack voted them #1. I think his brother did, and another Big XII coach, probably Franchione.

Not so fast my friend...

PSU stinks, my crappy Golden Gophers have beaten them the last 3 times they've met including two wins in Happy Valley and they'll beat them again this year methinks.

The refs gave your crappy Golden Gophers a game two years ago pal.
