Classy Move by Interpoker Customer Service
With the monthly bonus format changing to now require 8X hands at Interpoker I found myself going way over 450 hands and not getting the March bonus. So I called IP CS and spoke to someone who spoke English, and although just as ignorant about company policy as almost every other CS person (don't they provide any training?) she did apologize and got me some answers quickly.
The new policy affects any existing bonuses, she explained, but before I could complain, she said they would give me a 30% cash award as compensation. This will take 2-3 days so I haven't seen it yet .... Now this may be because I hadn't played a hand towards the March bonus yet, so my entire bonus was affected. And of course 8x is more than 30% greater than 5x, and I don't know if or what they will do for other people, but it might be worth giving them a call. |

That sounds illegal. Are you sure? I still have some bonuses to clear with them, we should kick up a fuss.

Well, I haven't seen it yet, so anything could (not) happen. It's possible I misunderstood her, or it's possible she misunderstood the person she was going to for answers. But since they changed the policy with no warning (I mean if they had said, "Hey, we're changing the policy May 1 and you have until then to clear your bonuses at the existing rate" then nobody could comlain (much) but they didn't so) it seems reasonable to me that they offer some compensation.

By the way, I didn't have to kick up a fuss, so maybe it was my sweet calm demeanor that got me the comp. Or not.

They already did the same type of thing with regards to previous bonuses. Maybe six months ago they made players clear all previous bonus points before getting the next month's bonus. I remember I had to play about 1200 hands to clear some points from when I was playing in the casino and lost........
