Default Absolute Phone Call

Just wanted to post about the call Abso gave me. Like others, he asked what I played, what I liked and disliked about the site, and why I had stopped playing there. Then he offered me a package including cash, bonus money, and tourney rebates if I redeposited.

I told him that the biggest problems were game selection and software. He said that they were up to 11k players at peak times, so maybe that's improved since I left. He also said that software stuff was top priority and they were dealing with it "aggressively." He said they were working very hard on improving hand histories, and that they were going to go from 3 tables to 4 soon.

All in all, nice guy on the phone, great customer service that they even do that. Too bad its so hard to compete with 70k+ players.

It won't happen overnight, but they are doing a decent job.

My computer locks up after about 3 hours of 3 tabling there.

Bonuses can't be beat. Don't think they need 70k players, but a couple of fish would be nice

Seems the fish have started to arrive. Been making good money against real idiots recently.

To the OP:
I was also in contact with them and they said that they are moving their HH to the user's computer like Party.
That will be a great change and I think that it will bring in more players.

And, yes, their never-ending bonuses are great.

Sounds like they may have finally listened to my 100+ e-mails complaining about the 3 table limit.

not sure what the problem is with their software.

but i could see the CPU rise rapidly on my NEW INSIPRON 9300 just by opening one table there.
It doesn't happen to me on any other site.

I know I could still play there of course...but I could already see a slight difference in performance after opening just one table there

In other words...this issue was NOT just isolated to my old computer....it's not as bad as on my new one...but it's still noticeable.

4 tables on Party with p-tracker and GT+ running: No problem

1 table on absolute with no p-tracker running: CPU shoots up to 60% ot 70% or so

And I suspect I would have the same kind of 'lock-up after 2 hours' type of problems IF i actually stayed at the table (which I never do...I see that CPU shoot-up...I wait a little bit...nothing happens...so I get close the table).
