Default Where can I expect the softest games?

Hi I've been playing hold 'em for 7mo now, winning at limit (up to $5/10) and tournaments. Recently I've made the switch to NL ring games. I am curious where the most beatable games are to be found. One line of reasoning goes like this: beginning internet players probably are most familiar w/ the games found in b+m casinos--mostly limit. Therefore the limit games are most likely to be populated with weak beginning players. However, another thought is: most beginning players want to emulate their pro player idols--who play NL. Therefore, the NL tourneys and ring games would be overpopulated w/ weaker players.
Which thought is correct? Where can I find the most profitable games: limit, NL, or NL tourneys? I'm interested in people's experience.
