Some hands from last night's tilt fest

Hand 1: I've been playing pretty loose and fast. A previous hand I raised AK and the pot was 4 way. Flop came T-6-2. I usually check there, but the board was so weak that I fired out a $15 bet into a $20 pot. One guy called. Turn and river went check/check and he took the pot.

I was pretty sure the player in question was bluffing / playing back at me when he limp reraised, so my plan was to call and C/R all in on any flop. One person I discussed the hand with liked my plan, the other thought I should have reraised preflop. What do you guys think?

Villain in this hand is a short stack, which I usually equate to fish. I really dislike my preflop call here, because his raise wasn't big enough and other limpers are sure to come along. Fold preflop? Reraise preflop? Keep in mind this is 6max.

Looks like your plan worked perfectly on hand 1 [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Easy to say re-raise pre-flop, but if you think he is bluffing with trash, then I like the call and laying the hammer down on the flop. Looks like he either hit his J or a A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] special. Oh well, you are paying that off to a bad player most times anyway.

Second hand I think you re-raise to isolate or fold. His turn bet is odd. He is either playing AK,AQ, AJ or AT somewhat timidly, has monster and is afraid you will fold or is the worst bluffer in the world. If he has a monster is not playing Short Stack 101 so I guess I stick him all-in as well, though I have the same disdain for short stacks.

Hand1: Reraise PF(45) Push any flop. Dont try to be tricky with aces PF, ESPECIALLY after a raise and reraise.

Hand2: Fold preflop

I raised pot, he limp/reraised. Do you still 3 bet here even if there's a good chance that he's simply playing back at you with air?

If I'm going to play big PAIR for my stack i want to put as much money in PREFLOP as possible

Agree with gunslinger on hand 2. you're out of position. If you don't flop an A or Q you're in a vert week position.

Hand 1 - got to bet at least what the slinger suggested. otherwise you've giving him a potential cheap options on your stack.

btw, I am new tothis whole 2+2 thing. did you purposely not show the results of the hands, or am I just being stupid?

I assume he beat you with set on hand 1?

While I agree with this in principle, I think 3 betting a limp/reraise here really allows Villain to play perfectly against me. The stacks are such that a checkraise all in is the best to extract maximum value out of inferior hands IMO. Good post though. Is your shift key broken?
