Default Is this standard?

Villain was 28/23/3. Btw I wanted to check fold river, but I couldn't do it.

i like to checkraise on 4th in blind battles. they never take the free card on this board, especially a guy with stats like this. (not that they should). if the turn card is bad you can just call down.

What do you beat 1 in 9 times on the river? Not only that, the flop looks like the villain has a 5, and he comes alive on the river when the most obvious of draws hits.

sorry my post was very unclear. i meant checkraise the turn instead of 3 betting the flop. i agree with betting the turn the way you played the flop.

Yeah but why are you calling the river? The flush and straights BOTH got there. I can't think of any hand other than a total bluff that you beat here, and I dont think he is bluffing here 1 in 9 times given the action.

I would fold preflop against this opponent. I would also fold the river. Like RobK, I call his flop raise with the intention of checkraising the turn.

i had been dumping blinds to him for the past 3 rounds so it was a metagame decision to raise pf. i thought he would give me more respect. as far as the river, i dont know lol. i was just like [censored] man everything got there, but instead of bet/folding i checked, so i figured i GUESS some weird stuff could bet here.

I would also fold pf.

Why exactly are we waiting for the turn to raise. Are we waiting for a sfae card or is it a value thing?
