I was very patient up to this point, moved to this table a little bit ago and folded about 7 hands straight. I thought this would be a good opportunity to pick up some chips... obviously i ran into a monster... but is this play ok?

With blinds at 75 / 150, I don't think I'm quite that desperate yet. How sure were you original raiser was on a steal?

Easy to say it was bad when the results are there but:

1) Saying you folded 7 hands in a row is irrelevant.
2) Raise to 350 one off the button in my experiences means strength.
3) It really seems like you were just trying to make something happen; which is not how you progress in tournaments.
4) A resteal doesn't have to be allin....

That raise screams weak attempt to steal to me... and a reraise leaves me basically committed anyway.

I had about 14BB. gaining that extra 4BB would be some nice chipage in my opinion, and I thought I had a good chance of taking it down.

BTW I've done well in tournaments and have had to make "something happen".

The more I think about it, the more I think it was just too early to do something liek this though.

Exactly. You were correct in your assessment of the original raiser, but variance reared its ugly head and someone woke up with Kings. There's a time amd place for this, and you still had plenty of BB.

I would raise to 350 here with AA or a 72o blind steal, why was it screaming, did you have some sort of a read? However, I still don't think it's worth the risk for T575, but might attempt it at the next level once I had a better read - you'd gain more chips and the all in wouldn't be borderline (making it look dubious).
