Default Playing Jacks

9 handed game, low limit, early on haven't read anything from anyone.

Preflop: Hero has J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] j [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the big blind. MP1 bets, MP2 raises, 3 people fold, 1 person calls, 1 person folds, button calls, sb folds, hero 3 bets, everyone calls.

Flop: (15SB) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 players)
hero bets, everyone but dealer.

Turn: (10BB) k [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
hero checks, everyone checks

River: (10.5BB) 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets, 2 players fold, hero calls, MP1 calls.

Final pot (13.5BB)

Questions:
1) 3 bet JJ before the flop?
2) Checking on turn and river, too conservative, or right b/c of overcard and possible flush?

Preflop great, you have the 4th best hand you can be dealt. Getting the money in while you are favored is great.

Turn, bet it. There are a lot of draw but yes, overcards will call. YOu still have to bet and react from there.

River bet it/if/when you bet the turn.

How quickly do you fold if raised on the turn?

By overcards do you mean singleston aces?

GoT suggested betting the turn, which was a king, because overcards will call. The only overcard after the turn has been dealt is an ace. If you and GoT meant overcards relative to hero's hand it still doesn't matter because queens won't call after seeing the turn.

Pre flop: Good

Flop: Good

Turn: I bet and fold to a raise. You are drawing dead to a flush, and drawing to 2 outs vs. a King. You don't want single [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or straight draws getting a free shot a you. Or worse, A-x that would have folded. Bet the turn.

In case where you would bet and then fold to a raise, is there any concern that in later rounds this would induce people with limited holdings to raise against you hoping to force you out (seeing that you folded in present situation)? (should that affect playing of hands at all?)
