Default Another poll: Best book other than \"Theory of Poker\"

"Theory of poker" seems to be running away with it.

Super System, with Harrington coming a close second if you're talking about NL.

I think HOH is overrated here. Its not that useful book for NL ring games unless one is complete beginner.
Super System and Ciaffone & Reuben on the other hand have much useful advice which make you think about the game and diffrent lines.
I think that people think that HOH is so great for ring games because it is easy to follow and everybody understand it. It makes poker looks simple too.In my opinion it is nowhere close to SS and C&R though (I am talking about ringgames , tournaments are diffrent thing which I have almost no idea about).

I've not read Ciaffone & Reuben, so I can't comment on their book, and I will agree with you that Harrington I is elementary, however, he does a good job explaining concepts for the beginning player that are applicable to ring games. Super System is the bible.
