Default 10/20 hand, lots of action... running trips

Don't know much about the two involved in this hand, they haven't gotten out of line yet, but appear to be on the LAG side like the rest of the table.

10/20 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

SB bets, Hero raises, Button calls, SB 3-bets, Hero calls, Button caps, SB calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.5 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets, SB calls, Hero calls.

Since you have two spades to the K in your hand, I'd be more likely to think that SB and Button are on made hands of some sort, rather than pumping flush draws. The button openlimp/flop cap is often a slowplayed big ace, although once in awhile you'll see 65 from the loosies. I think I want to bet and call a raise here, because you sure don't want it checked through if SB has an Ace and will pay to see. If somebody flopped a set, oh well.

Raise and call a 3 bet. Hands like A7, A4. maybe 56 of spades are likely here. To not raise this river you have to him him on 77 or 44. I think a raise is generally correct.

i think youre up against 2 pair here. i would bet that river since youre still likly to get called even though the guys 2 pair just got counterfitted. you can pretty safely fold to a raise at that point.

SB looks like he is on a worse flush draw and button either has 2 pair or a set.

I would check and raise and call a 3-bet.

AA is a possibility, but I agree with you that he should try to check/raise the field for value.

Hero checks with the intention of raising. Button should have been raising pf with 44 and 77 so it looks like you've got him.

You actually think hero should fold to a river raise getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 11-1 with top trips king kicker? That's got to be among the worst things you can do. It would still be an easy call, heck 3 betting is better then folding there.

sorry, but if the button has 44 or 77, hero's set is loosing this pot to a boat.

Is raising PF really wrong here?

I haven't played in 3 mos., just getting back into it and I'm finding my PFR now around 13% at 1/2 (4-tabling) which is higher than it was 3 months ago. It seems too high.
