Default Cool stuff to do in/around Paris

I'm in Paris for work, and have 2 free days. I'm looking for interesting/cool stuff to do, that I haven't done before.

Stuff I have done before: basically all the major tourist stuff in Paris (except the Orsay)

Stuff I haven't done: any day trips w/in 20-30 km of Paris, minor museums in Paris, other ideas TBD in Paris by OOT'ers.

Me: I like museums, but not so much 'painting' museums. Meaning, I love natural history, and artifacts, and stuff like that. the British Museum is my favorite museum, b/c of their Greek/Egyptian collections. The Louvre has a great a deal of things I am interested in, so part of my default plan is to wander around there for a few hours. I will probably go to the Orsay, but that is a mostly Impressionist museum, and although I can respect how great those artists are, it won't hold my interest for very long.

I also love to eat & drink, so any plan should involve lingering in cafe's/bistros for too long.

So, I'm basically looking for any good (short) day trips people may know of, cool neighborhoods or (minor) sites to see in Paris, or great restaurants/nightspots to go to. I haven't been to any 'name' restaurant here. I'm not looking to spend huge sums of money, but I will if it's worth it.

Thanks...
