Re: Hand vs Goldmine.
you gotta bet the turn against this sort of player. Bet it for value, he'll likely call with worse hands. Getting checkraised is fine because you know you are crushed and can fold easily. I would only take your river line against a very aggressive player who bluff checkraises often and who always bluffs the river when you show weakness on the turn. But even then, inducing the turn bluff checkraise and calling down is probably more profitable than checking. Against this sort of player you are losing a ton of value and giving him a free shot to beat you.

Re: Hand vs Goldmine.
If I misclicked and reraised this rock with AQ, I'd just check behind on the flop and completely give up unless I improved. Best case scenario you're drawing to 3 outs.

Re: Hand vs Goldmine.
I would still bet the turn and take a free showdown. It IS four-handed, the guy is essentially unknown (and very passive), and could have some hands that we're beating here.
Is this going too far? |

Re: Hand vs Goldmine.
2.29% raise pf? I wonder if this is only AA KK QQ and JJ or its 2 random cards when he feels like it

Re: Hand vs Goldmine.
Yeah, I got the implication and I have wondered about these guys myself. What I was curious about is if it being 4-handed changes things enough to merit trying to get to showdown. What was his WTSD? If he's tight, there's the upside that he might chicken out with AK on the turn if we bet..

Re: Hand vs Goldmine.
OK, nevermind. I would take the same line as you. You get 2 likely free cards from a flop bet, and your A could be good if you hit it.
I would probably be confused about this preflop, but fold it and wonder if i had done the right thing. |
