Default lcd monitors for television purposes

ive seen that lcd monitors can hook up as a cable television, do all lcd monitors have this capability? how about the dell2001fp? do these monitors come cable ready or do i need a cable box? i assume i need a cable adapter, how much will this cost?

if i were to buy an lcd monitor for poker purposes with the intention of unplugging it from my computer regularly, so that i can put it in the bathroom and watch tv while taking a shower or bath, will this damage the monitor? will the condensation travel behind the glass? are there any methods to preventing my monitor from erroding this way?

The 2001fp has a composite video in so you can hook up a vcr with TV tuner or a cable box. However, it does not have sound capabilities so you'll have to find some way to handle that. I went to radio shack and got a little device that splits it into 1 signal and then an extender which sends it down to my speakers. I do think you'll get really sick of moving it to the bathroom though...
