no read on him whatsoever, he had been moved and was pretty quiet for a few hands... I swayed toward a push just considering the situation, my mediocre stack with the blind increase coming up, and the strength of my hand against a pretty wide range.. plus i'm stubborn and hate my blind getting raised [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img].. but someone does need to remind me that the SB could possibly have a hand once in a while.

you have 20+BB, not a bad stack at all..

i think i'd like it more (w/ no reads) if you were shortstacked, and his PF raise wasn't so big.

His raise makes him look like he's not going anywhere (not that i'd always believe him, but again no reads) and your stack isn't in danger.

yea that's true, my stack is not bad, but this tourney only pays top 2 (satellite).. so my position and stack are kind of under a magnifying glass.. I think next time I would just call and see a flop, I do have position and can not lose much if an ace doesn't fall.

i learned my lesson on this last night

late in a stars $109, the button raised and i came over the top in the BB w/ junk. i didn't have a read, i just did it because he was on the button and i assumed he was stealing. he had a big pair and it crippled me and ruined what had been a good tournament so far.

so.. if you're going to resteal with a marginal hand, make sure to have at least some kind of read (i.e., steals in LP alot, raises and folds to big resteals, etc.)

I personally don't like re-stealing with A-rags, have got my ass kicked too many times by crap like A9o. At that spot i'd personally prefer KQo or 89s likes, so at least my outs are live. A2 would go to the muck with those stacks.
