if you worked at a job, and the boss just came in one day and said "for no reason at all we are going to cut your pay by 25%" I'm sure you would be pissed too.

Ok, so say you had a job making $100,000/yr as a garbage man or whatever. Then your employer decided to reduce your pay by $30,000 (arbitrary #'s I'm not a pro anyway). You still might be able to get by but wouldn't it piss you off?

I agree. I personally don't like change. It is a big change in my poker routine. Its like bam. Im glad I dont need rakeback or poker to eat.

No, if you read what I said you'd understand that I was talking to those of you who are saying they can't make it as a pro without rakeback. (eg. the dude who replied that this was his "pink slip"). I assume the rest see this as a pay cut but not the end of their poker careers.

The extra money you were getting were via a 'back-door' so to speak and were against their rules and conditions anyway.

They turned their backs to it and let it go on for awhile...and then decided they no longer wanted to allow all their employees to make so much extra money above and beyond their regular salary that they knew all along they weren't supposed to be entitled to in the first place.

Also - except for Mike...nobody here works FOR party. They are a business looking after their own bottom-line.
They can choose to run their business as they want and how they feel it benefits them the most.
They don't owe you anything and it was just a place where you decided to PLAY POKER because you felt you could make the most money there.....and there was this back-door way that became very well-known by which you could make even more money.

The analogy of a 'boss' coming in and cutting your salary by 30% is flawed.
